Dee's has been in business in Manchester, Vermont since 1964 and has always had a strong commitment to support the Manchester community. Over the years, Dee's and the Kilburn family have given time and support to a variety of causes and organizations. In the last few years, Dee's has run a series of ads championing causes that might not otherwise have had the budgets to promote themselves. Dee's donated time and materials for a new electrical system in the restoration of an old barn that now houses Burr & Burton Academy's Target Graduation Program - a highly successful alternative high school within the Burr & Burton.
The original structure barn needed quite a bit of work but the community rallied round on behalf of the high school's ambitious plan to find a place to work with those youths who are in danger of dropping out. Burr & Burton Academy now has the highest graduation rate in the state of Vermont.
